to the server - published to the internet. It isn't enough
just to build a web site. You need people to visit that site,
that is the intent, was it not? The theme "If you build,
it they will come" does not apply here. Promotion is
the only way to get potential clients to your site. How do
you do that? It is done in 3 ways, inviting search engines
to you site (indexing), business cards, and word of mouth.
Sumitting your site address to search engines can take a
few months. So, it is more popular to set meta tags that invite
search engines to index your site, and it is very effective
in the long run. This is accomplished using keywords and a
description called 'meta tags' that are embedded into the
page. Secondly, You also have to use printed material such
as letter heads or business cards with your site address on
it. Finally, you have to spread the word about your web site.
